On a cool and rainy Sat. 7 of us in 3 canoes and 3 kayaks decided to brave the weather and paddle from Ring Rd. and Washington in Naperville to 135th in Plainfield. We decided that it would be wise to leave a car at the lunch stop at 111th in case anyone or all of us needed to get of the river.  At lunch I had Meg use my I-Phone to check the weather. with the wind at our backs and the heavy rain hours later most of us decided to continue. There was one 15 year old who was to cold to continue so Ray Z. took them to their car at 135. We did see a large amount of birds, skimming the water for insects. Thanks to Ray for leaving his car at 111th and Larry J. for the driver return. At the end of the trip I took Ray and Larry back to their cars.
