Report:  We had a great crew of paddlers for this year's first PSC Corps of Discovery trip. The Piskasaw has hardly ever been paddled by PSC mostly because of its need for being run in the spring or after a heavy rain. The water level was pretty low for this trip but we decided to go for it anyways. There are four short rubble dams to run. At this lower water level they are of little threat to paddlers. We just bounced off a few rocks and took on very little water. When the creek is running a few feet higher these dams produce some nice waves to surf on. There are also plentiful strainers and blockages to contend with, some can bite you if you aren't careful. Thanks go out to Bill Erickson for helping me with the car shuttle.
