River Reviews
Until we get the database version working, here's an Excel
spreadsheet of some of the trip reports from our history.
This area will soon have a database with river information such as
this archive report:
Kishwaukee River
Description: |
Flowing through forests, farms, and (rarely) small towns, the
Belvidere to Cherry Valley stretch of the Kish is a fairly wide,
clear, easy-flowing river, with no real rapids to worry about;
there may be occasional deadfalls or sweepers to navigate/portage
around, and a barbed wire strand or two to duck under. You'll be
on the river about 3 hours, depending on water levels. It's got
just enough current to allow paddlers of all levels to practice
their skills, or learn new ones. Cherry Valley to New Milford
is considered a beginner-level paddle. |
